The Reality Is...

It's definitely a shame that prejudice is still alive and well in the great country.  It is sad that so many of us are still stuck and fighting for restoration from prejudice experienced by our ancestors.  Similarly it is ridiculous that some are still living to maintain those prejudice established!  How can we call this the land of the free when there are still those trying to enslave?  Makes no sense to me.  I am working hard now to make a better life for myself but no matter how hard I work I am aware of the fact that it could all be taken from me in a moment by acts of hate is just ridiculous.   What we too have to be mindful of is that certain reactions to prejudice are counterproductive.  Certain mindsets hinder us from growth as a race and as a country.  We must strive to work on ourselves to be better people and work on changing the mindsets of our children.  And that is the reality!  We are imperfect people living in an imperfect world!  Fact of the matter is we will never be perfect but the least we could so is live by the golden rule...do unto others as you would have them do unto you...
